At the moment I am waiting for
a film to be developed - the pictures will show a new development. This
is a system for controling an In Place Cleaning system by pneumatic controls.
As air is the operating medium it cuts out the need for electrical connections
which gives a greater safety factor when dealing with cleaning fluids.
We have, however, revived from the past, a mobile version of the Hydraulic Jet Cleaner.
This is, in effect an HJC mounted
on a trolly, fitted with steam and water inlets. This allows the Hydraulic
Jet Cleaner to be moved around the plant, and used wherever there is a
steam and water supply point. They proved most popular in the 1980's with
petrochemical and oil plants, but still seem to have a useful role to play
in modern industrial applications.
